This was unplanned! As her breeder, Vera Otevrelova, said, Smart was born for us. And we are so honoured and happy to have her as our new family member. Born on my father's birthday, pick of the litter and with two other homes that cancelled we saw it as a sign that Ivah is ours. So in November 2016 we welcomed her to South Africa from the od Berounky kennel in Czech Republic.
She brings fantastic new bloodlines to our kennel and country, with stunning features that will better our breeding program. She is a happy girl, full of life. We introduced her to South African show rings in 2017. In 2021 she became a Grand Champion, the first basset hound bitch to achieve this in South Africa! Thank you Vera for trusting us to be her home! Special achievements:
Ivah is retired from breeding, but might make an appearance in the show rings as a veteran.
